Haute News Flash: Jean-Paul Gaultier for Target?

Yep, you heard it here first! Jean-Paul Gaultier will follow suit (no pun intended) with other high end designer contemporaries in Target's "Designer Program" such as Mr. Mizrahi, Anna Sui, Monica Botkier, Richard Chai...well you get the point. This spring 2010 we will be in HEAVEN as Gaultier's pieces decend upon 250 Target stores nationwide.

This collection will, according to WWD, be available from the 7th of March 2010 in more than 250 Target stores across America and online at www.target.com until the 11th of April. The collection would pay homage to American pop culture. As a reminder, Anna Sui chose the characters of the television series “Gossip Girl” as the inspiration for her collection, whereas McQueen chose Leila Moss, the singer of the group The Duke Spirit, as a muse.

We can't wait. And you thought you'd never shop in Target for clothes - shame on you. Ok, but Walmart has work to do - (crickets)....sorry Miley

This Week's Obsession: Brian Atwood Hidden Platform

Drooling is socially unacceptable, but there are exceptions to EVERY rule! Such is the case for
this beauty of a beast of a boot! OMG. We "heart" B Atwood; did we mention he's a fellow alumnus of FIT? Yes we have nothing against Parsons, but we have to REP for our fellow (classmates in our heads). Ok, digression in full bloom...back to the business - Although it looks like a shoe, it is indeed a boot with a 4 1/2 inch heel - ouch! Fashion hurts. Mr. Atwood is no newbie to the game of fashion. One of the first American males to be hired by Gianni Versace in 1996, Brian went on to launch his namesake line in 2001. And the rest as you can SEE is history!

Where to find: Select Sak's Fifth Avenue Stores, nationwide, $680.

High Roller

What you need for fall....At least when you are running late for your flight to London in your Atwood 4 inches and slip and take a tumble, you do it in style. Being embarrassed never felt so rewarding. And maybe some handsome cutie will help you with your luggage (sly grin)...thank you very much!
